Beef Jerky

(I guess it depends on the thickness of the meat) I cut the Jerky about 1/2 thick. Regardless of the time it takes, is there a way I can manually check it?

It has white specks but I thin it was just the pieces at the bottom. Barely noticeable but still..
I feel like an idiot, haha, I only had 3 pieces.

A while back i went into my neighborhood kosher deli and at the register they had these spicy KOSHER salami sticks that i had never seen before. i bought a pack and fell instantly in love and since then have been trying to get more of them but being unsuccessful. i guess they were kind of like slim jims but kosher. i have been looking online for a long while now trying to find manufacturers but have also been unsuccessful. HELP ME! i need spicy kosher salami sticks and spicy kosher beef jerky goodness too!
